Making History with Family
R.W. Keys Decorating, Inc. has been in the business of restoring history for 35 years as a family owned and operated small business. At the forefront of the company is Roger Keys whose resume is a long list of some of the Midwest’s finest historic structures.
As young as seven Roger started painting and working on homes with his Uncle Jim Collins, owner of Collins Decorating, Oak Park, Illinois. At age 14, Roger became an apprentice at Collins Decorating and attended the Washburn Trade School in Chicago.
Since the days of trade school, Roger’s skills have been perfected in hundred’s of homes, churches, public facilities and commercial businesses throughout the Midwest. Other accomplishes range from a board member for Illinois Association of Historic Preservations Commissions, the past president of The Ellwood House Association, and a consultant/ docent trainer for Glidden Homes Association.
In most recent years, Roger's son Matthew has joined in the family company, bringing with him not only welding experience but acute attention to detail and a willingness to go the extra mile. With these skills added to an already valuable team, RW Keys is ready to make your dreams reality.
R.W. Keys, Decorating, Inc. has their eye on perfection as well as detail, which is apparent in the process as well as the results. Their passion and enthusiasm sets them apart from others in their field which can be seen in the projects they have had the pleasure of completing over the past 35 years.
